Day 142

This is the view from the roof top of my room.

Today they put in the 'gutters' or spouts. i don't know what to call them or what to say. i never liked them. but somewhere along the line i changed the idea of having the roof drains pour over the side of the house instead of down a drain to run under the house....I think in the end I will like it. I just need some time to get used to it.

Here they are. I don't understand why the terraces can't channel into one another and then have one big spout....Luis explained that it can't be done. Still didn't understand.

The plumber is almost done. all the tubes are put in and most of the drains are done. Luis said the guy told him he would be done this week. Luis seemed a bit miffed that the plumber has been taking as long as he has. but whatever.

Marking out the guest house.

this is how the guys level the house. with a plastic tube with water. They keep it pegged to one and the rest of them are measured against it.

then they mark it with a wire tie.
