Day 117: rendering the roof

The guys started rendering the inside of the roof walls.

This is above the workshop.

The walls they did today. you can see they brought up Berta the mixer and the dune.

They did this wall too.

This is when they were sloping it on. before they smoothed it out.

back up on the roof.

They have to put this back up so that it helps to support the ceiling.

I don't know if you can see it here but i noticed a lot of cracks here. I wonder if it was the wind that dried it really fast? or something else?

you can see the cracks on the right hand side. i'll ask the guys tomorrow but i think these are the kind of cracks that luis says gets filled with the paint.

Someone drew squiggly lines with the left over plaster that dried up on the ground...so i finished the picture. ;)

Here are the 'pre' doorframes that they put in. (still don't know what they're officially called)

They also cut out the electric stuff on the roof top studio. there will be lights and a plug or two.

After they put in the tubing, they covered it with the cement. the mix looks different today. more brown than grey.
