Day 114: stairwell

The guys finished the window and door frames and then they did the stairwell.

This is the sports storage room that Esteban finished yesterday.

This is looking from the storage room up to the stairs. this hole will be closed later. the hole in the bottom too.

This is what the stairs look like after they rendered the ceiling.

The wood planks that are sticking out of the wall were put there only to make a temporary platform so they could render the ceiling...crazy eh?

Here he is with the ceiling finished.

Here are the window/door frames that Luis was finishing.

Here's the designated mixer and shoveler. I helped him shovel yesterday, and I must have done it really fast because he stared laughing when he came back and said, "ha ha ha, that's enough"

it's enough for 2 mixes...

You can see the wind blew a lot of the sand to the side. not sure if they're going to use it...i suspect so.

I was told to be careful with the corners of the shovel so that it wouldn't break the screen....I think I might have dented the screen 2 or 3 times...didn't tell him...I hope he didn't notice.

Here's Esteban explaining to me how to give a proper henna tattoo. The one I put on Guzman's arm fell off without a trace of having been there. :( so here he is telling me to use hot plates to sear it into his arm ....ha ha ha...another funny joke (eyes rolling)
