Day 95: all about the timing

The guys are going around the house just doing the east and west walls. I'm not sure what their logic is but it's getting done. Maybe they're doing the easy walls first (walls without windows) because the window frames aren't in the house section yet. Anyway, I'm not sure if I explained how they render but they need to wait for the cement to dry before they can smooth the wall out with a sponge and trowel (or is it called a float? I'm not sure the difference.) when I tried rendering during the workshop last saturday, I did it when it was too wet and i started brushing it all off with the wet sponge....needless to say, I'm glad it was on someone else's wall and not my house...I guess the guys were right to not let me render....I do wish they had let me try it under the stairwell. Maybe they'll let me try it under the staircase in the house.

Luis says in a few weeks, they will begin painting! He said I could do the first 2 layers. :) I really hope so.

In other news...the canadian flag is starting to rip on the ends :( I don't know how to fix it...I"m going to have to request another one from the next canadian who comes to visit ;)
