Today the guys cut through the bricks to open the channels for the electric wiring. (gosh, my english is no good today) Guzman used the angle grinder to 'draw the lines" and Esteban hammered between the 'lines' and knocked out all the brick in the way. I got there at 11 and they were more than 1/2 done. ( I also worked much slower then them) Anyway, they plopped a pair of glasses and a little dust mask and handed me a hammer and chisel.

Look at the dust on him! it's like he has costume make up on!

This is looking into the pantry. You can see the big box in the pantry. THat's the box that I opened in the wall.

I finished the line on the side and then i cleaned up the hole by chiselling everything that was sticking out so the wall is smooth.

These small ones were easy to knock out.

This is a hole for the cables to go through the wall so that it doesn't have to go around the walls through the doorway.

I cleaned out the inside of this box.

I made this hole. it was hard because it was both edges and then chunks of blocks in the mortar. so Luis gave me the...JACKHAMMER!!! OMG it was soooooo much fun!

This hole I did by hand.

This is the awesome jackhammer.

This is the ceiling underneath the bathroom on the second floor. Luis let me drill one of the holes. it was sooooo fun!.

Here's looking down into the hole. This one I made

This is the other hole that Luis made. These holes are for the electricity lines and the communication lines. Luis says they need to be done separately. we don't know why. it's a regulation thing or something like that.

I did this. smooth eh?

I got a thumbs up for this :)

This looks crazy eh?

They closed the window up like this because they're going to do the stairs tomorrow.

When the guys were done, they FINALLY swept the entire place. I've been dying to do this ever since March! It feels soooooo good now that the floors are clean.

This is the pile of debris building up.

It was so dusty, I thought I was going to get a sinus infection (so after i finished, I went for a swim in the ocean to rinse out my sinuses)

Now I need to plan the entrance steps and the doorways. I'm thinking of arched doorways. Luis says it's not a problem. I have no idea how they would do it.

This is the doorway to the stairwell and office....Should I make all archways round? It was just a thought that came to me today. It would make it more homey and cozy i think. that's me :) but the steps...I'm still not sure.

Today I started thinking about the front door. Not quite sure what I want. but I think it would be cool if we could get a custom designed door.
