Day 77: Raising the Flag!

Lucky 77 is the day we raise the Canadian flag in Lajares. It is tradition to raise the flag when the entire structure is finished. This marks the completion of the most dangerous part of the construction. I think it's cool! When I pulled up to the house it was the coolest feeling to see the flags blowing.

After raising the flag the guys got back to work. They continued rounding the edges of the house. You don't really know how long the circumference of the house is until you start doing the edges and making the mix for it...It's A freaking LOT!

I think the left over cement that was used for the roof went here into the staircase foundation and the terrace. ​

I'm going to go on a limb and say it's the first Canadian flag in Lajares.
