The guys did a lot today. They finished the 2 small walls. Filled in the ginormous window in the entrance and dumped the cement into the columns upstairs... To top it all off, they've also drew out the staircase in the dance studio terrace. That was surprising because I thought we were going to wait for an estimate to see how much it was going to cost. But they already dumped the foundation cement for it.
This is the staircase frame ready for the steel and cement. I still don't know how it will be done.

Below is a sample of a wooden frame around a step.

This is a sample of a ceramic tile that looks like wood. I'm still not sure about it. Luis says there are different colours. I need to figure out what it will look like when the tiles are laid and the transition to the steps.

Here they are dumping the cement into the columns on the second floor.

This is the entrance window that they closed. it was huge before. and there was no view so we closed it. It will save money on the windows because the cost of windows is by square meter.

This is the wall separating the bathroom and tool room.

This is the raised wall on the tool room side.

The empty space above will be left open for storage space.

This is the wall for the bathroom and change room in the dance studio. That space above will be storage space. I'm not quite sure how we will finish it. Possibly. just run a curtain across or put in a wall and make a door??? not sure. for now it will be left open.

There is this tiny hole in the wall. It's the perfect size to fit in the block that will make the perpendicular wall for the bathroom entrance.

This is the staircase that is in the terrace of the dance studio. they had already marked it all.

You can kind of see the blue lines that mark out the stairs. Since it covers a part of the window. they will have to close the small section that the stairs cover. It shouldn't be a big problem.

Here are the guys using the left over cement to lay out the foundation for the staircase.

Luis says tomorrow they will put in the separating wall at the entrance and do a bunch of other stuff....The poor guy is super sick.
