Day 60: Every wall is different

When I arrived, they were doing the walls over the workshop. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy! Low brick walls. But it took me at least 3 full walls to figure out how to throw on the mortar along the cracks. Mainly because I'm just copying them and I'm not quite sure why they are doing it. And of course, being the sleepy head that I can sometimes be (it was a cloudy day), I didn't think to ask. To be fair, they were jibber jabbering every minute I was there. Not one silent minute. It felt like I was back at school.

Cuando llegue, estaban haciendo el pared encima del taller. Pense que iba a ser fácil. Pero no tanto. llenar las grietas (no se como se llama ese. pero echando el mortar entre los bloques) Tardaba 3 paredes para encontrar la mander de hacerlo bien. Que podría haber aprendido mas rápido si sabia por que estaban haciendo eso. Pero no. Podria haber también preguntado para que sirve. Pero como no estaba pensando...Podria ser que me estaban distrayendo con sus boberías y olvide a preguntar.

This is the first set of walls that I did. I asked if it was an ok job. Luis said it's not an 8 or 9 but it's a pass.

Aqui ves mi primera pared...Luis dijo que no es un 8 tampoco un 9 pero aprobado...

This is the second wall that I tried to do.

La segunda pared que intente.

This is the last. It looks like my work just gets worse and worse. but the guys seemed to think the opposite.

La ultima pared. Parece que mi trabajo sigue mas feo. Pero los chicos dice que lo hize mejor...? no se.

Here's all the mortar they made in only one mix....I don't know how many of these they made but I got to learn how to make it as well. Esteban has a video of me sieving the sand before we put it in the barrel...I don't know when he'll send it to me. I hope it's soon.

Han hecho un montón de mezcla. Me han dejado ayudar hacerlo también. Esteban tiene un video de mi pero no se cuando me va a enviar....espero que pronto
