Day 55: The Long wait

The guys took off all the supports along the side but they left the support posts inside the house. Those will be there for a month to ensure that the concrete dries properly and that the ceiling doesn't fall in. Even if we're wearing helmets. The guys said they've heard of ceilings falling in....but none of them have ever seen it. (that's a good thing. I can't imagine what home owners and contractos do after a roof caves in!) Luckily my guys are more responsible.

Me with all my construction gear on.

Ya tengo todo para estar seguro en la obra.

This is the beginning of how they build the structure for the studio and workshop.

This is the workshop.

Looks like there are are lot of posts in the room. I think there will be more put in next week.

The rooms are going to look crazy inside for the next month!

I think they guys spent the day putting these up and putting in the steel rebars. (I"m not 100% sure because I was busy filling all the holes that were made in the house and they left me to do it all by myself at my own pace. It was nice. But because I was inside, I had no idea what the guys were doing.

I noticed they put in another row of blocks.

Here they've cleaned up the different steel parts.

Here's the home section with the side covers off. After this dries, they will put on the blocks to make the wall of the ceiling. We've been talking about finishing the rooftop with tiles so that it's all finished and we can make the most of the usable area as possible.
