Day 50: Boarders still going in
- el techo...

I'm so used to things happening so fast and despite their speedy work, I'm getting antsy. They're still doing the roof. Luis did say it was going to take all week. To be fair, it's a lot of work and they've been working like elves. They have to drill holes and slide the clamps all the way through the cement blocks to the other side to hold the two sides together.
Antonio came to see the house today and he said this was a very important step so best to let them do their thing and leave them alone. They've finished lining the home section and now they're doing the studios. I'm not sure if they finished both studios this afternoon but I have a feeling they did.
This is the dance studio 1/2 finished at around noon.

This is the house part. It's all done.

Back of the dance studio.

Same place, just from a different angle.

Inside the office.

The house has a lot of beams set up. I can only imagine how many of those scaffolding poles are going to be in the studio. Antonio explained to me what the different shaped blocks were for. they are for sitting on top of the beams in the roof as a filler in the concrete slab. He says the blocks will be covered with cement and the slab will be solid. I'll have to go up and take pictures when they're in the middle of putting it all together.

This is the bathroom drain, I thought I took a picture of it yesterday but I didn't.

So I told Antonio about the artificial mountain extension and then I realised Antonio used to work with rock! So it's settled! He's going to be my rock guy and he's going to help me with the wall. Then he started getting carried away with the mountain idea and making a pool and waterfall and everything. It's all a little overwhelming, but he says these things are easy and maintenance doesn't actually cost too much. I'm going to do research to find out and then I'll decide. I think I still have time to decide this stuff.
On another note, I told Antonio about Jessica's idea about the steps along the side of the buildings and then having outdoor movies. in the summer. The original plan was to do it on the workshop wall but then we decided if we could do it in my living room terrace too! And, the projector could be put up in my office so that i could use it for either sides. (workshop videos through the east window, and home cinema through the west window) I guess the speakers can also be installed around the office as well.

I tried to get a song out of esteban...no such luck. But I love how they happily pose for all my pictures!

Eva and her elves :) They rock! (come to think of it, if the house is scheduled to be finished by December....they really are my elves!!! ha ha haha.)
Mira nuestros cascos tan bonitos!!! Y lo de Guzman....de revés...??
