Day 39:Rushing for the last Fill

The guys were in a rush today to finish covering all the columns and door/window frames. The cement truck is coming tomorrow and they wanted to finish all the cementing before easter so that it could have the long weekend to settle.

When I arrived they had just started this one. It's one of the largest window sill like the one in the dance studio. Esteban was hammering the wood into place and Guzman was cutting the wood to size. (They let me hammer a few nails into the frame. Then I got a lecture on my shoes that broke and my jeans that were too baggy. :(

The guys are preparing to lift the the steel rebar up to the top. it's pretty heavy.

After the rebar is in place, they encase it in preparation for the cement tomorrow.

These are some of the columns that were filled on Monday.

When I was leaving They were finishing up the last of the columns. I'm not sure if they did finish it all in the end. I'll check tomorrow.
