Day 33: Preparing for more concrete
They guys were reinforcing the molds for the cement columns. Let's take a closer look....
This is a column for the doorway from the living room to the terrace. You can see part of the entrance and the doorway of the pantry in the background.
Look at how much they need to secure the columns. I asked if it was really necessary to be drilling holes into the CMUs and Luis explalned that when they put in the vibrator, the pressure becomes very strong so they need to reinforce the moulds like this. (it looks so crazy it's funny) but I'm glad they're being secure.

On a serious note, you can see how much reinforcement there is from the wood clamps in the middle and the wooden supports underneath.

Entrance is on the left. There's no cover for the doorway here yet. I wonder if it's just to make work easier. I think they will do that later. I'll double check with them tomorrow.
