Day 30: Getting involved
The guys were working on the workshop today. Esteban stands on top and lays the bricks while Gusman lifts the bricks from the ground to the scafolding. It's pretty high. Below, Esteban is showing us how much higher the blocks need to go. It's pretty high, but it's going to be perfect for aerial yoga.
I told the guys I wanted to help build the house and the first question they asked me was if I could lift the bricks up to the scafolding. Ha, ha, ha. Then they told me to try picking one up. They say its 30 KG. There's no way!. I'm bringing my scale tomorrow. Anyway, they got me to pick up a block so they could take a picture of me and post it here so that it looks like I heleped. But really, if you see the picture, it looks like I'm just carrying groceries. ha ha haaa.
This is the pot that the tractor found when he was digging. The guys say it's a pee pot and it must be at least 80 yrs old. I want to keep it but they're using it to hold the extra cement that they need just incase the mortar is too watery. (kind of like the extra flour when you're baking bread) The guys told me the name of it but i forgot.
The house is ready for making the molds for the columns. They said they were going to start that before the end of the week
