Day 24: Continuing the walls and a new driveway!
Today they worked on the block walls for the dance studio and workshop.
As you can see below, the tractor came and removed the mountain of weeds and made a road from the southern entrance to the workshop. Sure looks different.
Here is a bunch of trees that the tractor found while he was buldozing all the weeds. Looks like the beginning of my little forest. yeay!
Here the wall of blocks looks a bit wonky. but now I understand that the cement columns will straighten everything out.
I took this picture because when Luis said that all this area will be filled in, I got an idea of putting in a ground level trampoline! So I thought I'd put the question out to the world wide web (or anyone reading this) Where do you think I should put it? For now, I'm thinking beside the guest bedroom (farthest to the left) because when you're jumping, you can see over the wall into the open land to the west. Plus the land in this area will be raised the most. (i need to research the requirements for installing a ground level trampoline.
Below there is supposed to be high window on the west side of the office. I'm not sure if I like it...
Today Luis told me I could make arrangements with him about tweaking the houses with him and Jose. I think he's just opened a can of worms with that because then I will be forever second guessing my decisions for windows everywhere. I'll try to control myself. Luckily I trust Jose enough to tell me what would be better or not. He's been great with giving me good advice.
Here's the view from the giant rocks in the west. (tampoline by the corner of this room? perhaps?)
Here's the workshop.
