I spent the afternoon beginning the path at the base of the mountain in front of the dance studio. The idea is to just do organically, wherever the rocks lead me. A path from the studio to the parking lot and to the other house. There was actually quite a bit of soil. I think I will be able to plant a lot of things there. Right now, there's a Verol plant natrually growing at the beginning of the path. I'm debating what to put at the other side of the path. I might be able to plant it right now since they construction guys won't be touching this area.

This is the path looking down from the mountain. The Verol plant is on the right.

This is the path going up. the little hole on the right is where I would like to put a plant as the 'gateway' to entering the path. It will lead to the parking lot, the top of the mountain as well as the other house.

A selfie with a little lizard that I found. He decided to spend the rest of the afternoon with me (either that or it got too cold for him to move.) I made him a little rock house around him before I left so that he would be protected by the wind at night.

Clearing the pathway and pulling the weeds was really fun and relaxing. It helped me settle my mind of all the crazy thoughts that were running through my head.
